UNLEASHING YOUR INNER TAWNY KITAEN

HOW TO STAR IN A MUSIC VIDEO WITHOUT LEAVING THE COUCH
Nature Show is preparing to release our debut album, and, after spending all our money on recording, mixing, duplication, and various rock star trappings, we find ourselves with zero dollars to make a music video. This is where you come in.
We want videos of our fans lip-syncing, singing along, or otherwise acting the fool to our first single, ‘Escape Attempt.’ We’ll then compile those videos into one mega-awesome official Nature Show music video to be released to music blogs and the like. All videos of usable quality will make the cut.* And if we end up being nominated for one of those moonman MTV video awards, you’re all totally invited to the awards show.
Download your free copy of 'Escape Attempt' right here, right now, up above.
Record your video by October 15, 2011, and email it to
natureshowtheband@gmail.com with the subject line “Video Submission.” Leave the original audio of ‘Escape Attempt’ in your video so it’s easier for us to edit.
Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. Tell your coworkers to tell their friends and enemies.
Let’s sum it all up:
1. Download ‘Escape Attempt’ here and study your lyric sheet (below).
2. Learn the words and perfect your air drumming, practice your dance moves, or oil up your naked torso (yes, nudity is allowed).
3. Record a video on your webcam, phone, or other expensive contraption.
4. Send it to
natureshowtheband@gmail.com with the subject line “Video Submission” by October 15, 2011.
5. Sit and wait for us to finish editing the thing.
6. Become a star!**
*Unless we get so many videos we just can’t use them all and have to pick only the best. How cool would that be?
**Stardom not guaranteed, and our crack legal team has advised us to add the following: By sending us a video, you are granting us permission to use your video, in part or in full, as a music video to be distributed as we see fit. Once you send us your video, you are giving us ownership of it. Ownership cannot be reverted to you. Don’t send anything you don’t want people to see (though nudity and other legal shenanigans, as we may have mentioned, are allowed). You will not make any money from this. We probably won’t, either.
